Objetives

That participants:

  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the functioning of organisations: the functions of the different areas and the type of work that they do, organisational structures, etc.
  • Develop a strategic vision and become alert to changes in the environment.
  • Become familiar with the legal institutions and economic policies that make up the European and international business environment.
  • Are prepared to be geographically mobile and live with people of distinct nationalities and assume cultural diversity.
  • Come into direct contact with the socioeconomic and market reality of each of the three countries of the course.
  • Be fluent in three of the key languages for today’s business world.
  • Develop communication and negotiation skills.

Specific skills

  • Actors in a global economy: Interpret the reality of the economic, social and legal aspects of the company at different levels (local, European and global) in order to exploit the opportunities and address the risks arising from them, and to develop their activity in an international context.
  • Management of organisational: Integrate and develop personnel within the business plan of which they form part and seek their involvement in it – a key source of value for the company; and assess the implication of decisions in the overall organisational structure of the enterprise.
  • Market and client orientation: Orientate the organisation’s management towards satisfying clients and other interested groups, identifying their interests, promoting the creation of value through quality products and services, developing effective long-term exchange relationships.
  • Management of financial resources: Diagnose, plan and control the evolution of the financial situation of the business plan, optimise investment and financing decisions.
  • Strategic vision: Manage the company from an integrated perspective; promoting strategies and organising the personnel, resources, systems and technologies necessary for improving competitiveness and creating value for its social partners in the various areas of short, medium and long-term decisions.

Methodology

Various pedagogic methodologies are employed that respect the idiosyncrasies of each particular country’s educational system, such as:

  • Expositions of teachers
  • Reflection and joint discussions
  • Preparation of monographs, reports, etc
  • Searches, reading and studying of documents
  • Exposition of projects and case studies
  • Study and problem-solving of practical cases
  • Reading and analysis of documents, articles, news stories, etc
  • Viewing and analysis of audiovisual material
  • Simulation exercises
  • Tutorials

The programme demands an intensive study rhythm and an important amount of individual and group work.

Student assessment is based on the final exams of each of the materials. Sessions are taught in the language and by the lecturers of the country in which the each module is imparted. Furthermore, it is mandatory to pass the written and oral languages exams.
