The company, the course participant and Deusto Business School work jointly through firm-participant contracts. These stipulate that candidates taking part in Deusto Business School programme previously agree to undertake a specific consultancy or entrepreneurship innovative project.
Participants in the Executive MBA develop an applied project during 6 months of the programme, combining their professional duties, the Executive MBA programme and the project. They will be supervised by members of the faculty and other collaborating professionals
The firm-participant contract means knowledge, tools and skills are immediately applied in real business and/or market situations from an from an innovative point of view.
The project may be carried out in a group or individually, depending on its characteristics and, in any case, preserving its confidentiality.
The projects cover a wide variety of subjects, allowing participants to choose from:
- Entrepreneurship (internal or external)
Course participants who chose this option work in groups for real companies, focusing on developing the business. Faced with a real strategic problem, the groups will be guided by a team of strategy consultants to choose the best methodology to apply in problem-solving.

Either within the firm (intra-entrepreneur) or as a particular level (ex-novo), each participant must identify an innovative business opportunity, develop it and build up a feasible business project.

For this reason, Deusto Business School and Tecnalia Ventures have teamed up to present technology-based opportunities for entrepreneurship. The entrepreneur will attend a conference where Tecnalia work groups will present their technology projects and they will look for experienced entrepreneur profiles to start the project.
