100% of the course participants do internships in health and/or social care organisations in the public or private sector.
These internships aim to ensure that students are capable of applying the theoretical knowledge acquired during the programme.
Students do 3 internships:
Internship 1: Overall view of the sector
This is the first direct contact with the reality of the healthcare sector. It consists of knowing various public and private health/social care organisations.
Internship 2:This internship takes place in a health or social care organisation.
Course participants gain insight during this period they spend working closely with the organisation’s management team. This provides valuable information about sector management as well as the opportunity to become familiar with internal operations, planning, coordination bodies and structures such as committees, panels, etc. This is the period in which the improvement project is decided.
Internship 3: This internship takes place in a health or social care organisation.
Students prepare an improvement project which consists of the Master's Final Project on the health and/or social care organisation assigned to them in Internship 2.
A coach assigned by Deusto Business School Health and an on-site supervisor from the host organisation support course participants throughout the programme.
These people act as a reference for the Master's degree participants and work to facilitate their learning and performance.
