Who has this type of programme been designed for?

Graduates of a discipline different from Business Administration who wish to pursue a career in Marketing, International Business Management or Competitiveness and Innovation. For instance:

The following options are available:

During the first year, students attain an overall view of how the economy operates and the different departments in firms thanks to the Master in Management (taught in Spanish) (official diploma from the Spanish Ministry of Education). During the second year, students can concentrate on a specialist field:

Competitiveness & Innovation (English)
International Business (English)
Advanced Marketing (Spanish (85%) and English (15%))

and obtain the corresponding Master’s degree qualifications (two diplomas).

Year 1 - September to June: Master in Management (Spanish)

You will be able to work in departments in the firm: General Management, Finance and
Control, Marketing, Production, Logistics, Human Resources.

Year 2 - September to June: You can choose between: 

  • Master's degree in International Business: You will be able to work in departments in the firm and particularly in multinationals and companies with international experience, private foreign trade assessment and consultancy, international departments or foreign branches of banks and offi cial delegations abroad. Chambers of Commerce, internationalisation support bodies (ICEX, government agencies…)
  • Master's degree in Competitiveness & Innovation: You will be able to work in departments in the firm and particularly in strategic and innovation consultancies, research and technology organizations, public administration (national, regional, local), regional development agencies, corporate innovation and R&D departments, general management, university departments and research centres, etc.
  • Master's degree in Advanced Marketing: You will be able to work in departments in the firm and particularly in Marketing departments, marketing adviser, communications agencies, advertising agency, media planners...

Access requirements

1.First year: Master in Management

  • Graduates with backgrounds different from Business Administration are eligible to enter this programme. These may include Engineering, Sciences, Law, Psychology, Humanities, Arquitecture, etc.
  • C1 level in Spanish
  • Candidates are not required to have prior professional experience although it will be highly valued.

2. Second year:

  • Students are required to have completed the first year of the Master in Management.
  • Accredited level of English. The following accreditations may be submitted:

    - Certificate in Advanced English -(CAE)
    - BEC Higher, TOEFL above 80 points
    - IELTS abovede 6,5 points
    - Failing such accreditations, candidates also have the possibility to take an internal level test organised by the Language Institute of Deusto University, or to take and pass the Institute’s C1 level English course.
